As the leadership of our party has been stating in various national and international documents and places, the fundamental contradictions are becoming sharper. This has been seen with greater impudence in recent days by the action of the US government and its lackeys. Every moment the imperialist policy becomes clearer, which makes it possible to remove any possible doubt about the effects of the interventionist, aggressive and anti-popular action against the peoples of the world, of the region, and now against the Venezuelan people. This politics has caused serious damage to the economy and the population, relying for its implementation on the native bourgeoisie, the local and regional instrument that affects, in the first place, the working majorities.
The administration of the ultra-reactionary Trump has counted on the support of some sell-out governments that act against the right to self-determination, endorse the condemnable action of the puppet Almagro in the OAS, as well as of all the instruments at the service of the monopolies. Meanwhile they apply anti-people measures designed by the IMF to increase the exploitation and repression against the majorities in their countries. This makes it clearer every day to all revolutionaries on which side we should be at this moment.
The main contradiction in this regional situation is, in general, between imperialist oppression and the struggle for liberation from this dependence. In particular this becomes a struggle between imperialism, mainly US imperialism, which has traditionally maintained its domination, and the interests of the exploited majorities. These sometimes support reformist, revisionist projects and other times support the revolutionary line. This depends in large part on the application of the correct tactics, which for the true communists is the line of the Third International. At 100 years since its foundation, this remains in full force, with the tactic that promotes the unity of forces to confront the great imperialist capital and the embryos of fascism, unifying the proletarians in the march towards the total liberation of the oppressed of the world.
In Venezuela, the struggle against the US-EU imperialist bloc is progressing well, with ever increasing direct struggles involving different social classes. Mainly this is expressed in the major media in the struggle between the traditional pro-Yankee bourgeoisie, which intends to retake control of the government at all costs, and a many-sided tendency, with manifestations of national demands. This has shown itself close to the China-Russia bloc, leaving the objective of the proletariat and the popular masses in second place. But we must state that we are on the street, in the main struggles, in the debate and mobilization. This opens up great possibilities to strengthen the popular line of struggle for national liberation and socialism. It poses an immense challenge to the forces revolutionary; we are working continuously to consolidate higher levels of organization and mobilization of the revolutionary popular movement.
We Marxist-Leninists have the duty to continue gaining the confidence of the people for the consolidation of the political current of class independence. This demands the accumulation of its own forces and in alliances to organize resistance against the US-EU imperialist bloc, as well as in the struggle to improve the living conditions of the popular majorities. This helps them to identify their enemies, capitalism and imperialism as its higher phase, as the cause of their hardship, as well as internal and foreign accomplices. The Venezuelan proletariat is advancing under various difficulties, being clear on the achievement of the strategic objectives of the working class, the peasants and the people, with a position of critical support together with demands on a government under attack by imperialism.
We are adjusting our tactics with the most objective view of the circumstances, and our party, from the very terrain of the struggle, has understood that we are not only living through a complex political situation, marked by the consequences of the economic crisis, an increasing imperialist aggression, by errors of past and present government policy, by weaknesses of the revolutionary movement. Despite this the revolutionary movement has grown over the past 20 years, but in addition to the present situation, there is a structural problem of the bourgeois state. This state has shown a process of decomposition, which can be seen in the inability of the contestants to subdue their opponent and the emergence of a parallel power. This shows us that this conflict of the structural base will not be solved in the short term and that it opens the possibility for fundamental changes. That is why we must also work on the strategic perspective.
The events of these last days affirm our thesis on the decomposition of the State, as well as the role of the US-EU imperialist bloc and its lackeys. Even with contradictions, as a result of their internal struggles, they maintain a line of conduct to take advantage of the economic, political and social disturbances that Venezuela is experiencing, contributing to the process of decomposition of the State. This process is deepening every day, leading to a negotiation to distribute the country’s wealth among the imperialist powers, to foreign aggression, a coup d’état or even a revolutionary situation. This is a consequence of the struggle among the different tendencies in conflict and the emergence of popular actors, as happened at other periods in the history of the country.
Faced with these scenarios, which are leading to situations of violence, we call on all revolutionaries, patriots and democrats, on the workers of the world, on the peasants and worthy people, to prepare the conditions of concrete solidarity, being certain that the Venezuelan people are resisting and struggling. They will continue resisting and fighting under any scenario; the working class, we Marxist-Leninists and especially our party are working to organize the defense, based on the legitimacy of the actions that the proletariat will take to safeguard their interests and those of the majorities, convinced that the contradictions present in the region are creating the conditions for a struggle that is expanding, and to work for the unity of the working class and peoples on the basis of tactics of a regional character in order to confront the main and common enemy of our peoples without dispersing the forces by attacking scarecrows.
The people of Venezuela have been subjected to an attack that is expressed in different ways and with different tactics in order to undermine their ability to fight. The imperialist hawks know that this is a people that resists and fights from different political, organizational and economic trenches. It has largely identified its main enemy, which is the US and the EU against whom it must direct the central blows, avoiding the distractions that the vacillating petty bourgeoisie and sectors of the bourgeoisie try to impose. They try to focus the central attention on other phenomena, to diminish the willingness to fight necessary at this moment.
The consequences of the imperialist aggression led by the US, with the support of its EU allies as well as some lackey governments in Latin America, particularly Brazil and Colombia, have been progressively accentuated. This is shown in the increase in hardships that the exploited and oppressed must suffer day by day. They are the center of the attack of the speculators, the mercenaries of the paramilitary bands financed by the right. Added to this is the ineffectiveness of government institutions that are responsible for price control, guaranteeing public services and food supply, which have been deteriorating in an accelerated manner to the detriment of a significant part of the population.
It is clear that one cannot overcome the current situation through the pro-imperialist puppets of the opposition; to overcome the current situation requires among other things increasing production, which can be guaranteed precisely by those who produce, that is, the workers and peasants. It is also necessary to combat acts of corruption in the chains of marketing, distribution and consumption. But this also requires the organizational strengthening of the revolutionary popular movement, which must continue to work intensively to consolidate the agreements and alliance between men and women who express their firm will to face the imperialist aggression to the end. For this it is necessary in turn that the meeting spaces for debate, analysis of the situation and concrete proposals be put forward in a coordinated manner, consistent and in unison can be multiplied and accelerated.
We are in a race against time in complex circumstances. This in turn requires a militant discipline, conscious that it is an instrument for our skills as anti-imperialist and anti-fascist men and women. The enemy will multiply its actions, through psychological warfare, sabotage, sharpening the economic siege and its attempt to materialize a military intervention supported by mercenary armies of the region.
All this shows the hypocrisy of the sectors of the national and international right wing that try to use the difficult situations that the Venezuelan people are experiencing in their favor and that they have helped to create to an important degree.
Let us not be confused by the message that the imperialist propaganda machinery spreads by its media; the solution to the current situation will take place when the exploited and oppressed majority takes in their hands the development of the historical task that corresponds to production, the anti-imperialist struggle, that is, the economic and political leadership of the country. History shows that only the willingness to fight, strength in organization and clarity in political objectives in the development of the class struggle can mean the difference between catastrophe or the possibility of victory against capitalist misery.
In addition to our willingness to fight, it is important to consolidate international revolutionary support as an expression of proletarian internationalism. The peoples of the world must be mobilized, so that there can be no respite from the imperialist enemy anywhere, that there be a willingness to fight to the end, that the victory over the imperialist armies is possible with the correct revolutionary political leadership.

Translations by George Gruenthal.
The imperialist aggression against the people of Venezuela continues its accelerated course. The declarations of the main spokespersons of imperialism have openly exposed their intention to carry out large scale military-type actions. At the same time they are making efforts to impose various measures whose main idea is to continue the deterioration of the economy of the country as a way to strike the living standards of the exploited and oppressed majorities. It thus seeks to create a high level of problems that can be tactically exploited by the mercenary forces to develop initiatives that let them advance in their objective to seize the territory and energy resources of Venezuela by force.
However, in this scenario, there is a people that resists and fights, organizes and mobilizes, that does not allow itself to be intimidated by the threats by the imperialist spokespersons that have been exposed in various ways. Despite the many adversities, an important part of the people of Venezuela are taking up the anti-imperialist struggle with determination, showing their willingness to carry out to the end the confrontation against a powerful enemy that has declared war.
Proletarian internationalism and expressions of solidarity shown through various actions and statements by the peoples of the world are a fact that should be emphasized. This is important in the fight against an enemy that uses its immense resources to try to undermine the will of the masses of the people to fight. It also uses its propaganda machinery to try to demoralize those whom it attacks. In many cities of the world popular movements have forcefully rejected the pretensions of US imperialism to impose a new agenda of aggression against a people.
It is true that the measures implemented by imperialism and its lackeys have resulted in impoverishing the living standards, but this has not diminished the will to fight of those who are convinced of the task of the moment. They are continuing to fight consistently against the capitalist yoke. The circumstances demand not only political clarity, but also to improve the popular organizations, overcome the organizational weaknesses and tirelessly prepare them to have chances of success in the anti-imperialist struggle.
We must also show our revolutionary support and solidarity with those peoples who, in various parts of the world, are continuing to fight against imperialist aggression.
The revolutionary political leadership must also continue to improve, achieving greater levels of unity and alliance, consolidating the spaces for the joint action of the popular movement in general and the proletariat in particular to strike the imperialist enemy and cause it a heavy defeat.
We Marxist-Leninists are conscious of the fact that we are experiencing decisive moments, that the most difficult and complex circumstances can only be overcome in favor of the exploited and oppressed majorities if we have the necessary organization to carry the revolutionary struggle against imperialism through to the end.
