A protest rally of anti-imperialist organizations was held in front of the National Museum today, February 26, at 4:30 pm, calling for an end to the war activities of the imperialist Russian, United States and NATO in Ukraine.

Dr. Faizul Hakim, coordinator of 9 organizations and secretary of National Liberation Council, Prof. Akmal Hossain, President of National Committee against Fascism and Imperialism, Masud Khan, President, National Democratic People’s Forum, BSD leader Mohinuddin Chowdhury Liton, National Liberation Council Dhaka Region Organizer Shafi Rahman and cultural activist Mofizur Rahman Laltu addressed the rally. Poet Hasan Fakri recited anti-imperialist poems at the rally.

Speakers demanded that Bangladesh declare its position against the Russian imperialist aggression in Ukraine and against the war activities of the imperialist United States and NATO centred on Ukraine.

The leaders said that the imperialist states have been engaged in a new war to divide the world. Lives and livelihood of masses are in danger. Millions of people have been displaced. This situation is now being used by the imperialist United States and NATO to escalate the war frenzy.

The speakers said that the working class of the world, including Ukraine and Russia, had no interest in the imperialist war.

A procession was held at the end of the rally.
